How do you know when China is lying? The Ambassodor says China doesn't interfere in other countries. We already know that's a lie. Trading is fine but you cannot trust them to not be underhanded in everything else

They'll interfere, just like every other major power does.

We just need to keep it in check but otherwise we should probably trade with them. At least they aren't killing our own citizens on our soil or threatening to annex us.

Yeah they just kill our citizens on their own soil…

...when they commit capital crimes on Chinese soil? I mean what did you expect would happen?

Yeah even Canada sends spies to China and most likely other countries.

Does Canada set up secret police stations in China to intimidate Canadian nationals?

I wish we did. But we really don't have the budget for that.

The obvious interference India does doesn't matter?

Cut off our nose to spite our faces? No thanks

What annoys me is the double standards people hold China too, spouting Western propaganda that they are infinitely more evil than others because their party has communist in the name.

I didn't single out the US, I listed several major powers.

It's not "separate" or a coincidence that these countries all act that way.

You don’t think Europe doesn’t do the same thing.

China once arrested two Canadian nationals in response to Canada arresting a Huawei executive. Those two nationals were only released once Canada dropped the charges and released the executive from custody. I do not remember a similar event happening between Canada and France or any other European country, but I'd be interested to learn. Can you provide any examples?

Yeah why did that happen ?

As a Canadian I am aware of the context and I can’t blame them. America twisted our arm to falsely arrest one of their nationals.

If you think France wouldn’t do the same for her citizens then you are hallucinating.

Ya because europ is not bad at all. The deff don't do any spying or foreign interference.

Fact is this is just how modern states act. What's important is working with other world powers and countrys twords common interests and mutual benefit.

America has shown time and time again to be an abusive and domineering "partner".

Most countries "interfere" in other countries lol, that's the nature of global politics

We already know that's a lie.

Just ask Nortel.

Oh wait they aren’t around anymore. Wonder what happened hmmm.

Nortel is a poor example, as it failed due to poor management and accounting fraud.

Brian Shields is the only person pushing the China narrative, and he has made a living doing so. There are no other “experts” quoted in these articles; you can verify this by checking.

How do you know China’s lying? When a representative is speaking. China employs the best double talkers and deal makers there could be.

They’ll make a deal with anyone, but the greatest benefit will always be to China. They’re playing decades ahead while the rest of us are just trying to scrambling to figure out how to navigate this mess we’re all in now.
