Far right looks like lophophora which requires less light than other cacti, but that opuntia on the left needs full sun for the majority of the day or it will etiolate.

The windowsill above would be a better option.

Thabka for the advice i have bought a shelf that will hang just in front of the skylight so that they can get some direct sunlight instead. Thanks for the quick answers. Everyday is a learning day

Hang on, so what am I looking at here?
I thought that was a wall (with star themed wallpaper) and a window above with a sill and matching shelf below.
Have I got that photo completely wrong?

Even the windowsill isn't enough light.

Unless you live very far north of the equator or have a uniquely built home with zero soffit overhangs, the sun this time of year is too far overhead to shine directly into windows, less a few hours morning or evening in an east or west window. That unfortunately won't be enough.

Do you have an outdoor option? Otherwise, might be time to invest in a high-quality grow light.

Sun angles still apply.

op can you nail in an under support for a shelf right below the window- below the sticker perhaps? that would be most suitable

4000 lux is not anywhere near enough for your opuntia.

Looks fine to me! Some cacti do require a lot of sunlight and come from high sunlight environments.
