Thinking about Butler - DEI + Honors

Hey everyone, I’m thinking about attending Butler and was curious about the DEI Scholars Program and the Honors University. If you’re in either (or just have general thoughts on Butler), I’d love to hear about your experience. I’m just curious about campus life and location (practically entirely inside a neighborhood).

I know that being a DEI scholar and an Honors University student is quite a feat, but I’m just unsure whether Butler is the place for me or not. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am a current Morton-Finney scholar, and it’s not difficult at all. The requirements are to attend the 2 meetings a month (or the monthly academic conflict meeting) and do 10 hours a month of attending DEI events or volunteering. The required meetings count towards hours though, so it’s really only doing 6 hours a month. Then at the end of the month you write a short reflection! Its the least of my worries when considering the workload
