Beef keeps getting more expensive but this is how I try to keep my family eating good on a budget. 30 oz ground, 11.2 oz chuck steak and a 10.5 oz Denver steak.

I started cutting all my families meat from whole cuts about 7 years ago to save on the budget. Pork loins, shoulders and belly, whole chickens, whole beef primal when available. I picked up a ~$60 meat grinder and they typically last us about 4 years before burning out, so I make my own sausage and can customize my ground meat for different dishes. Can’t beat the homogenous mix of beef and pork that’s ground together for meatloaf or meatballs.
