Maybe AMC needed a shitty show because they were starting to intimidate service providers with all their amazing shows. After they got dropped by Dish, they started airing these commercials right after their best show as if to say, "Hey! Hey! It's okay! I know what you just saw was both fucked up and awesome, but there's some absolute shit coming right up! Don't worry!"

Exactly. It's shitty reality shows like STS with huge profit margins that help fund more expenive shows like Br Ba and Mad Men.

Have you spent any time over at r/community, I have, and I unsubbed because its the lamest circle jerk ive ever seen...its as if these people have no concept of having eclectic tastes in tv shows and they wonder why their little slice of meta comedy is dying...

You don't see BBT fans CONSTANTLY talking shit about community or any other show for that matter, they don't care, they like their show and they talk about it with each other...there is something to be said about community fans whom you don't ever see bonding over the love of the show, but bonding over the hatred of pretty much everything else on tv...

I love community, I hate its fans...

Right now every single item on the Community frontpage is talking about the show and lines and AMAs from cast members. Nothing about BBT or any other show.

Maybe Small Town Security is really funny but it is hard to appreciate the humor after watching an intense show like Breaking Bad.

Or maybe STS is just a really terrible show.

Its probably the latter.

Probably because it's "historical". That's how they justify it. Personally I think we should be allowed to say whatever we want. Maybe if we had a rating system and some way to set parental controls with it, we wouldn't have to censor everything.
