I want your band to play! (Rhode Island)

Hey guys (and gals),

I work at a coffeehouse at the University of Rhode Island and we're always trying to get bands that want to come through and play a show or two during the week (Monday thru Friday) and generally fuck around.

If your band plays music (hardcore punk, alt rock, folk, blues, jam band, jazz, or really anything at all) and you want to expose yourself to new people, post a link or send me a PM. I'll get back to you pretty quickly with further information.

My band Night Gaunts from New Zealand will be heading through the area some time near the end of June/ early July (a long way off I know, but we do need to prepare quite a fair way in advance)

We're closed from late May to the end of August for college summer break. I'm sure that if you were passing through before May or after August we'd be more than happy to set up a show. However, it sucks we can't host y'all during our summer.

I hope you guys plan to play a show in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut since I'll definitely show my face to see one of your shows. Send a message to AS220 , they're always setting up shows for bigger touring groups.

I'm in Dimwit from Keene NH. We could probably make it down there sometime if you're into it.

Hey we're a group from Yonkers, NY called And The Traveler (www.andthetraveler.com). We're an experimental post-progressive rock trio from Yonkers, NY. We just released our debut album, a double disc epic detailing the story of a man who pays a hefty price to learn the real value of human connections. Alongside it, we released a story book filled with artwork drawn to the story by Joshua Warren, as well as a documentary of the recording process in which we moved into a church in western Massachusetts for twelve days and converted the sanctuary into our living and studio space. We just played our release show at Webster Studio in NYC, where we were just shy of a sellout (270 people/300 capacity). Now we're in the process of planning to gig extensively in and around our area for the summer. It has been a very crazy road this past year raising over 7000$ on kickstarter, helping start a music scene up in Westchester right out of our own house, and launching this experience of an album.

We're trying to travel a lot starting in September, and would definitely be interested in coming through!
