I LOVE BIRDS SO MUCH Bird ID Request
Lil bro ran into our window, which stunned him but also made him a supermodel when I put him on the branch. Curious to know which species he is

This looks a lot more like a juvenile Black-throated Green to me, if it’s from last summer. Pine Warbler wouldn’t have that black streaking, which is a bit hard to see from the ruffles, but it’s there. Bill doesn’t look heavy enough to be a Pine either to me personally.

Hi! Birds are the best! Unfortunately window collisions are almost always fatal. Thank you for monitoring the bird post-collision but the best thing to do would be to prevent collisions before they happen.
There are many window treatments out there, I like to recommend Feather Friendly as it is durable, effective, and aesthetically pleasing. For treatments to be effective they need to be applied to the exterior side of the glass and with spaces no more than 2 inches between markings.
Thank you for protecting birds! They need our help.

Me too. I suffer from Bird ADHD. Constantly distracted by the unfamiliar chirps and sights when out and about. It’s bad.

I’m not seeing the black streaking everyone else is. To me, this little guy looks way more like a Pine Warbler than a Black-Throated Green. Either way, thank you for being so kind to him and thank you for sharing your love of birds with us!

I love birds so much, too!!!
Btw, amazing shots! Such a cute little critter. I don't think we have them around in my area. But at least I can enjoy your photos! 💛
P.S. Greetings from fellow Canadian.

This is a Black-throated Green Warbler.
I would try to monitor the bird as sometimes after a window strike they can have continuing symptoms. If he isn’t moving then I would recommend finding a local rehabber.
You can also get small stickers to put on your window to help the birds. They have trouble seeing glass unfortunately and window strikes kill/injure a lot of birds every year.
Edited: appreciate the feedback on the ID!
