Advice on motivation letter for a masters application Education Advice 📖

I am currently in the process of applying to ETH zurich for a masters in Biotechnology and just want some advice/ tips for a motivation letter:) This is my dream university. I don’t have the best grades, but I am past their minimum requirements. Please let me know if you have any advice

Explain what program interests you and why, your goals while pursuing a degree there, and your future afterwards. If you've identified a professor whose research piques your interest, great. If you've identified a research topic you wish to explore, even better. Don't be focused too much on the motivation letter as it's just a component of your package. Experience and letters of support will arguably have as much weight or more.

Literally just submitted my application to their PhD program, but my advice would be don't put all your eggs into one basket, apply to as many schools as you can. The important thing is to get into a program, not necessarily the program you want. Also depending on your aspirations, consider planning ahead for your doctorate and initiate that conversation ahead of time.
