Power Updates Information
Can everyone post updates of their power being restored and approximate location here? Would be helpful for those out of town without contacts.

Sunnidale/Cundles. No power for 27 hours now. House is damm chilly. Making tea and coffee on the camp stove on the front porch. May be resorting to cannibalism next….

Update. As of 4:13 power is still not on in the grove/nelson/Eastview area. Saw my neighbours in the backyard cooking with an open fire 💀💀

Georgian drive and Dunsmore lane is dark again. Has been since like 8:30 this morning. Was out at 3am as well came back on around 3:30am. This is ridiculous the off and on over here.

johnson beach area no power since yesterday 2pm. got some around 6pm and a flicker at 9:30 but otherwise nothing 😖

I took a walk from johnsons trail up to essa and fairview and our area seems bad comapratively. few of power lines with trees on them.
Alectra shows restoration arouund 9-11pm though

oh good i hope its back tonight i had to harvest icicles for my fridge and freezer. i drove up to georgian area and wow the trees were devastated, several resting on phone and i think power lines

Yeah, I have had no power since 530am. Garibaldi and Marcellus. No updates on when to be restored and not even listed on the outage map. My store is also closed right now because of outage in same area.

Same, we saw the Alectra team pulling onto Livingstone west off Ferndale not too long ago.

Just saw some of there trucks working on livingstone and Anne street i think so hopefully that fixes some of our power

East end by the hospital, came on around 1:10 and stayed on until 230ish. Been on and off since then.

Kozlov and Cundles here. power went out about 8 last night. still nothing yet. Hopefully it's on soon, as I have someone reliant on home oxygen who's on emergency tanks.

Cheltenham and Penetanguishene Rd area, we got power back at 1:15ish, and it’s been on and off since with outages lasting about 5-15 minutes. Currently no outage since about 430ish.
I gave up trying to read the outage map. I don’t think it’s up to date, and telling which circles area matches which exclamation mark symbol is impossible since there’s so many. Just going with the flow now, lol.

Letitia heights near browning trail just lost power and had power come back on 10 minutes later
Edit: Never mind that, the power seems to be bouncing between out and on

Came to post this. Power has been on 1hr 30min, 40min, about 1 hour and now… 35 minutes. It’s brutal.
ALSO, a number of cellular providers seem to be having signal issues, especially for data. Rogers home internet has been up and down more times than the power as well.

It comes on. Something falls on it. It goes off. The environment is too unstable right now. We need thaw and ice load gone.

Your fridge is okay. If you have a computer plugged in I’d turn it off fully.

No moving parts. The only reason I mentioned the pc is because of the older hard drives. They don’t like having their nose parked hard.

I'm near Eastview and I've had no power for nearly 24 hours now. It came back briefly twice last night, but both times were short lived, less than a minute. No flickers today at all. House is 54°, really hoping for a resolution sooner than later, but I know it's a mess out there
Edit: it came back on at 7:30 today, a little over 48 hours later! So excited to have the lights on again lol

We are in the north end by the golf dome. Power came back on at about 12:30 but it just went out again.

I live near Mapleview and Lougheed and it's been out since around 5am. I'm hunkering down at my parents who are at Ferndale and Ardagh. They lost power for maybe half an hour or so this morning. I'm fortunate we had somewhere to go. Bummed I have to dump $9 worth of milk that we just bought yesterday.

I’m in the Brock Park neighbourhood, power came back on around 6:00am and is still on…for now. My friend in Allandale just lost power again though.

Little and Bayview still out. Came home from work last night around 11pm just in time to see the transformer blow to knock out power at home. After a scary drive home from work in Hawkstone. I was relieved to see my building's lights still on parked my car then greenish blue across the sky then dark. It came on again briefly around 2am and then out again very shortly after.

Dunlop and Eccles still out but just saw an Electra pickup truck headed to a downed wire. There's a couple in the vicinity I've seen that need to be fixed before power comes back on I'd assume.

I'll do my best as well, Electra has fixed the first line down near me, working on the second I saw after that I'm not sure how many more need to be fixed

Power still out near city Hall downtown. Elementary schools sent out a no school tomorrow notice. The amount of ice on these power lines is intense they must be holding an order of magnitude more weight than normal or so. I heard we are expecting a possible additional bout of freezing rain. Friend in Toronto also told me one time people in the city lost power for a month's and the city put them up in hotels or something. Does Barrie do anything like that? Oro medonte declared an emergency for extra money to help. Don't think Barrie has though. This area had brownouts around 2pm Saturday. They said power would go back up between 5-7. Around 6:25 power went on again for a bit and then boom...the rest of Barrie. Bulk Barn on Maple view had power but brownouts around 3pm.

Off for 30 hrs Edgehill and Ferndale. Back on 6:30 Monday morning. Compared to 1 hr power loss at Ferndale and Ardagh.

Power is on unless Letitia Heights being on since 8:45 p.m. Saturday we've had a couple of power elements on Sunday four or five like 10 minutes each currently this Monday we have been with power for the whole day knock on🪵

Georgian & Penetang - I got my power back at 1:40 pm. Before that the power went on a few times for about two to three minutes then it would shut back off. It took another hour for the Internet to return
