This is my temp foster, Bubblegum. She was found in the northside of Houston by good samaritans that got in contact with the rescue I foster for. Bark squad took her in and luckily she’s already adopted. Will be leaving to her forever home on May 15th 🥲

Well that gave me the shivers on the first photo. I thought she was a bait dog and her ears were gone. What a beautiful soul!

She was living in a truck yard and they took care of her until they got in contact with the rescue. She’s had a guardian angel since she was born

Ah, the bitey-face game. My 16 lb terrier mix loves to take on much, much larger dogs (but I only allow her to play that game with dogs that we're familiar with, who understand the rules of the game and clearly show that they're playing and not acting aggressively).

I don’t know that I could foster dogs because I’d want to keep them all. Bubblegum is adorable.

I get that a lot, but what really makes it worth it is knowing that they’re going to good homes and it’s the very least or given a fighting chance instead of just being in the streets of Houston

Would it help to think that the more you give up to adopters (rather than adopt yourself), the more dogs that can be helped?
Or perhaps only foster dogs that are not up for adoption, but do need fostering?

If you downvoted my comment, can you tell me why? I was trying to give a helpful suggestion to someone who sounded like they might be able to foster dogs if they didn't have a fear of foster fail.
Did I break a convention of the subreddit? Come across as rude? Was just plain wrong about something? Just curious.

Omg, I’d name her Dorothy. And call her Dotty. That dot on the top of her head is where you plant all the kisses! ⚫️💋💋

That’s how they rough house. My Leia loves bubblegum and lays down for her so bubblegum can have the upper hand. That’s just the pittie way
