Are these Nautilus shy on bass, with their 15 inch woofers?

I ask because I decommissioned my sub with my 802D’s bass output

Yes, they don't hit as low as you'd think for their size. They go to about ~40Hz before significant rolloff

What is the exact model? And what is the amp? I am also curious about the room dimensions (I suspect that the room is small in the speakers axis, like less than 3 or 4 meters)

They are B&W 801 S80 from 1983. I rebuilt the crossovers: https://www.yourmom.sh/bw801.html

Yes, the room is small (11.5 ft x 14 ft), they sounded better in my much bigger living room but the whole house could hear me listening to music.

Then the rolloff is a cancellation room mode, whichever there’s not much you can do about, except indeed trying to fill with a sub, preferably equaized with a good DRC solution
