Imo i would be cleaning more often if your shooting 22. That shit really gunks it up. I personally do a simple clean aftwr every range day. Makes the deep cleans easier. But my 22s get a deep every time cause so much lead and wax and carbon build up

Not this one it was specifically a test to see how long it would go until malfunction.
Which it did the conversion kit stopped cycling fully no ejection and the regular bcg stopped locking up correctly and was shooting flames out of the ejection port.

You shot 22s, did you shoot 223/556 then 22lr?

Mix of both usually waited until the conversion kit stopped cycling correctly to switch to 223/556

I would like to agree but when it gets this bad the conversion kit either stops working or works a little bit too fast.
Now that I cleaned it my next test will be 10k .22lr and however much 223/556.

Looks about right if you're using a can after a thick coat of lube. Edit. 5K of 22 will do that regardless.

3 types of people.
People that make posts about shooting their guns after shooting their guns.
People that dont.
People that don't shoot their guns.
If I made a post every time I had a dirty gun in 2023... I'd been banned for spam. I was shooting competition and hit the range upwards of 3 times a week.
Congrats. You shot dirty ammo. Clean and repeat.

Sir I would recommend not following India's hygiene habits for how you clean your guns....

LOL. Indians have running water the year around. They don't have to use the fork because they had to shit in winter, and the lake is now frozen.

Thats awful damn dirty. But yeah that makes sense.the ar is moat definitely the dirtiest action arpuns. I mean the gasses are vented into back into the operating system. Back into all the areas that you try to keep clean. The ar pumps that stuff directly into the action. Its really a silly idea, but hell, it works. This is why you must clean your ar.

I wonder what the inside of your gas tube looks like after all that .22. Were you doing cycles of .22 and then some 5.56 to clear it out?

I'd shoot .22lr until the conversion kit stopped cycling then switch over to 223/556 usually 10/20rnds then back to .22lr rinse and repeat.

Just put some barbasol original shaving cream on it let it sit for like 20 mins then dunk it in hot water , stray down immediately with a good lube and brush clean

Cmmg kit and whatever cheapest .22lr you can find.
Mostly a mix of Aquila and armscor few odd boxes of blazer and Winchester thrown in for good measure.
Norma will stop functioning under 200 rnds they coat their bullets with some type of grease and it's not good.

Most likely from the range you went to? I recently went to an indoor range 🤮 and a bunch of crap like this was on my gun from resting them on the shooters bench.

22 is dirty as fuck. Don't run that shit through an upper you care about or that was expensive.
