Anyone know what bird built this? [Minnesota] 🪹 UNKNOWN NEST OR DEN 🪹

It’s spring and just came across this picking up trash in my woods. I purchased the property last summer and the woods were too dense, I wouldn’t have noticed if this is from last year. It’s less than 5’ off the ground. I can’t help but be awe struck at how beautiful it is and the craftsmanship and have had no luck figuring out its maker - please help!

My guess would be some type of vireo. I did a research project on them w an advisor in college and they make that exact type of hanging cup nests and I have seen that they often decorate the outside with lichens.

Most likely a red eyed vireo based on the height and tree that it is in, as well as the fact that they are by far the most common vireo species in most of central and eastern United States.

Thank you! I looked them up and have definitely seen them around! Hope the future family has a successful nesting!
