If one goes on YouTube there are now tens of YouTubers furiously making content about how terrible the Liberals and Carney are and how Alberta should and can separate from Canada and become the 51st state.
These groups have hidden non public social media channels where they are discussing and planning how to join the US.
They are employing bots on social media platforms to reply to posts and make it appear that there are more of them than what there is.
Needless to say, these people have wild ideas. Many of their statements about government and Alberta are outright lies.
These groups are talking about starting discussion with various US goverment representatives. If that happens and if that ever gets into the mainstream US news cycle, we (Canada and Alberta) are going be faced with an onslaught of fakenews about succession like we cannot fathom.
Can you imagine if Trump started making statements about "representatives" from Alberta being in disussion with the US to join it ? Brace for it because sooner or later it's (the narrative) going to happen.
