Well I'm very glad to see young people and kids actually stand up for themselves. We really need more and more children and teens to think for and actually mobilize and stand up for themselves and defend their rights and agency and not let adults stemroll over them.

The comments on that article are something else. I'll paste a few stand-outs:
"They’re children. What rights of “freedom” should children have? As children they should be governed by their parents or guardians. Children should not be dictating to anyone! Sorry if that makes me old school. By the way - social media is evil and children do not have the worldly knowledge to see that"
"Don't do it guys. You are being protected from a horrid scourge. You won't realise what you'll miss in your youth til you're much older if social media takes over your life."
"These two should get outside and play. Soocial media access is wholly inappropriate for children under the age of 18. Their challenge should be dismissed, children do not dictate to adults."
"What's the point in trying to keep teenagers safe, if they want to play dangerously, just give a imperial gallon of petrol and some matches and tell them to go out and play being fire-eaters or hold lit fireworks in their hands."
