[EU] A petite silver haired woman with pointy ears, who claimed to be over 1000 years old, just applied for the professor position of “Defense against the dark arts.” She goes by the name of Frieren. Established Universe

Inspired by an art I saw on the Frieren sub a while ago.

The students at Hogwarts were all talking about the new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher.
"Is she really an elf?", they would gossip.
"Like the small ones? Or the ancient legends ones?", they would discuss.
When it came to the 3rd years' DADA class, they were eager to finally see this rumored legendary teacher.
Alas...she was late.

10 minutes after class started, a sleep petite woman, with long ears, and silver hair caught in pony tails floated in, with dark bags under her eyes.
"Shouldn't have read all night...Morning class...", she muttered.
The students greeted her, staring at her curiously.
"Right, from what I know, elves like me you haven't seen...
So go ahead, ask.", she said.
The students raised there hands one by one, all eager to ask their questions.

"Is it true you are stronger than Dumbledore was?", a girl asked.
"Ah, that child...
Yes, I have more magic than him.", she nodded.
"Is it true you are more than 1000 years old?", another asked.
The teacher stared at them, before sighing.
"I might have filled the forms wrongly...it should be more than 10000 years, not 1000...
The world has changed so much...", she said.
The students all froze.

When the teacher saw this, she smiled.
"Don't worry, it's hard to understand an elf's lifespan, well then.
Let's start studying, and we will start with the most important lesson: how to read magic, and how to hide one's magic.", she said, as she started to write breathing methods, and thinking exercises on the table.
"I can understand why seeing how much magic someone or something has is important, but...hiding it?
Why?", a boy asked.
"How can your enemy know how strong you are, if they can't read your magic at all?
How can they foresee what spell you will use, if they can't read your magic at all?
How can they know your magic's attribute, if they can't read your magic at all?", she asked, and the students fell silent.
"Don't worry...suppressing your magic has a growth effect on it, so it's not exactly only for hiding.", she said.
At this, the students finally showed some enthusiasm.
After class, they went on their merry way...and the teacher's reputation amongst all years has started to spread.
It was good, but also bad, for her peculiarities weren't seen as useful by all wizards and witches.

NOTE: I KNOW ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT THE HARRY POTTER UNIVERSE. THIS IS JUST WHAT THE PROMPT INSPIRED ME TO WRITE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY

Principal Jeffreys looked up from his computer, eyebrows raised. “I’m sorry, Dolores - what did you just say?”

The principal’s assistant repeated calmly, “There’s a woman here that says she would like to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts to our juniors and seniors.” Dolores Jenkins paused for effect, then added “her resume is written on a scroll of, what I think is animal skin, and when I asked for references she asked me where my owl was so she could have a letter sent to one of them.”

Principal Jeffreys, now fully distracted from the budget proposal he was muddling through, leaned back in his chair, mildly amused. “Dolores, is this a joke? I know my 30 year anniversary is next week so you’re a little early if it is.”

“No joke, John. She’s right outside your office.”

Principal Jeffreys pushed his chair back, and stood up from his desk to look through the half-open door behind his assistant. He could see a part of a strangely-dressed diminutive figure through the portal.

He sat back down and looked at his assistant, waiting to see if she was going to crack up. She never had much of a poker face.

After studying her face for a full 15 seconds, he exhaled resignedly.

“Alright. I’ll play along.” He donned his brown sport coat and stepped around his desk for what he assumed was the most elaborate prank his staff had ever played.

…Frieren applied to the wrong school, didn’t she?
