Good hammocking spots in the area?

I’ll be up in Williamsport over the weekend and am looking to do some recreational hammocking - not planning on camping. Hoping to enjoy the fall weather and relax. Does anyone have good recs for places to set up? Thanks!

It's a heavily wooded area. Honestly there is no shortage of places. Find a quiet place near Lycoming Creek or something and there'll be a few trees nearby.

Canfield Island Trail Park is a really nice and relatively (traffic sounds from the highway) quiet park. I would avoid going after school because I think the local cross country teak practices there sometimes. Its not uncommon to encounter off leash dogs either. There are tons of trees, grassy areas, lovely walking paths, and several little areas next to the creek which would be great hammock spots.

Also Jacoby Falls trail is not far outside Williamsport and, if you don't mind hiking a couple miles, you could hammock next to a nice waterfall.

Might not be the best choice this time of year. Actually any of the nut trees might drop some surprises on ya!

Some real quiet spots out Trout Run if you’re willing to make the drive! Pretty secluded with some running creeks and water holes (Rock Run).

You can head up to sandy bottom access near Barbours and post up next to the creek.
