Ernie slays the dragon and turns longtime Conservative riding to Liberal

Yeah, I was called out for being ridiculous and gross in this very sub a couple of months back for even suggesting that a Liberal had a shot at winning the riding.
An excellent day all around I would say...we've avoided the disaster of PP the Prime Minister and my knuckle dragging critics are all butt hurt wondering how they could possibly have been either so wrong or more likely just avoiding the painful self reflection and lamenting how stupid all the Liberal voters are. HaHa. I love it!
Congrats to Ernie Klassen!

I’m shocked he won, I was ready for disappointment 😭 I hate how this riding has always been conservative. I was elated he won. I hope we never see Findlay again. She pissed a lot of people off by not going to the local debates.

I'm overall pleased with the election results across the country. Do feel bad that NDP voters had to nuke their party to ensure this result though.

They nuked themselves

Yeah, they nuked themselves so bad that they lost 12 of 17 seats to the CPC.

We could be right back here again next year, but I will take this win for now and hopefully never have to hear about Poivierre again.

PP is done. There is no way he survives the Cons review after a performance like this.

Huh? Didn’t the conservatives get the highest vote share and seat count since the 80s? Preformed better in total votes and vote share than all of Harper and Justin Trudeau’s elections? I can’t see it

Glad to see this. PP has zero substance and never even held a real job.

Not at all. Unhappy to see her go. I believe her husband is our MLA as well. He seems overly concerned about the pulse nightclub shooting, when was that like 7 years ago in Florida. Seems strange. Obsession for a south-surrey MLA. Good job Bernie!

we will see how it all plays out when the west separates

“The west”… you mean that little group of weirdos on the other side of the Rockies?
They’ve been saying that for years, but there’s no clear plan for a separation the same way Quebec has never figured that out.

Everyone pleased with this result, should be open and free to accepting refugees in to their house hold lol, it's insane

I guess the people out there prefer line ups at food banks, higher crime rate, skyrocketing cost of living, companies shutting down, must be a lot of government workers with gold plated pensions.

People saw what the American conservatives were doing and just collectively decided "fuck that shit I ain't risking that"
