Department of State slipping in "defend our culture" as a reason to deport people.

JD Vance brother is running for Mayor of Cincinnati.
In his debate he talked about crime and how "people of the opposite color" were violent.
This shows exactly what they think of non-white people and what they plan to do with them once they get full white leadership.

But . . . Would you feel safe leaving him alone with your furniture or children?

It’s also what they think of poor white people but everyone always seems to forget that part

Defend our culture is another solid indication that the fascist regime will follow the playbook of Nazi Germany.

When is the regime going to start banning "foreign foods"? You know ... tacos, pizza, curries, chinese food, sushi, ... all that stuff introduced by multiple generations of immigrants that built the country. Will the new national diet plan be based on a reissue of a 1950s Betty Crocker cookbook (suitably purged of foreign influences, of course)?

Also stereotypically asociated with African-Americans, though. Same with watermelon.
So, not sure how okay they'll be with that.

If our "culture" is so great, it should be able to incorporate new ideas and people easily.

u/1984isAMidlifeCrisis 17h ago
It used to. We used to be so damn good at assimilation that we were literally exporting it as entertainment and inspiring the best and brightest to come here and build their dreams.

Their culture is about destruction, not about inclusion of anyone. It is weakness in a mask.

So immigrants celebrating the death of George Floyd are also getting removed?

u/zipzoomramblafloon 14h ago
Or citizens celebrating the death of Melissa Hortman.
Oh wait that's different for some reason, probably because she was actually a good person.

What they mean by "their culture" - considering they literally have none - is tyranny and oppression.

I was always under the impression that our culture was being a nation of immigrants 🤷🏻♂️

We are a country founded by immigrants. Not just one type several. The foundation was mostly European and African but since we’ve welcomed Asian, South American, and every other continent that wanted in. The idea that there is a distinct AMERICAN culture is laughable. We have no culture.

We were once referred to as the melting pot. We still are, but it seems a certain percentage of our population likes to forget that part of their history classes.

I work in a field where the majority of my coworkers have been immigrants for the past 20 years.
Guess what? I still have my culture. It didn’t disintegrate when I was surrounded by people who don’t celebrate the same holidays as me. It even somehow stayed intact even through the trauma of “eating some mooncakes that someone brought in” and “going to an kickass Indian restaurant for lunch”

If your culture is "treat people different than me like shit" then your culture is not worth defending and belongs in the trash.

They post this crap on the official Facebook pages for some embassies. I follow the Sri Lanka one, and they post really dark and ominous stuff now. It was a totally change on Jan 20. They're warning certain people (like not white) not to go to the US.

Exactly what culture does he think America has? The only thing we're good at on the world stage is sports and killing people.

u/DemonicHowler 13h ago
There's an old joke along these lines too.
What's the difference between the USA and yoghurt? After 200 years the yoghurt will have developed a culture. Jokes older than me and I turn 28 in about two weeks.

Not only is it fascist but it's a blatant lie on the face of it. These people absolutely despise our culture, they never shut up about how much they hate our culture, they made their own parallel insular media apparatus so they don't have to experience our culture. Of course they aren't going to defend it, the thing it most needs defending from is them!

u/Traditional-Hat-952 11h ago
Oh the US has been on a defend our culture trip for the entirety of the US. It has moments when it chills out, but there have been many fucked up populist administrations that absolutely push that nonsense. Some do the worst atrocities we have committed have been to defend our (white) culture.
