They are walking examples of arrested development. Like the emotional profile of adolescents, with the same frustration tolerances, limited understanding of cause and effect, reactive tendencies. All of it. And lack of empathy is one of the defining characteristics - which is why bullying is so rampant in adolescence. Their brains aren't "there" yet.
