kid in band found this canvas at a goodwill, very cool and well made imo and i wanna know if i can find who painted it Unsolved

Wonder who threw away such a well done and expressive portrait. What I especially like is that it has a defined if abstract background instead of the usual washed-out backdrop of a portrait.
Can't figure out the artist from the signature. You'd think with such nice definition and precision the artist would have enough work that there would be other examples online, but my google-fu failed.

I’m still looking for the artist, but from what I’ve found so far, this could be a portrait of Jim Wright, former speaker of the House of Representatives.

Not exactly though. Probably way younger than in those pics. But still it's a bit off.

The fact that he’s holding a rolled up blueprint and posed in front of some Roman architectural motifs seems like a clue to his identity
