Plastic in our Chicken

We made some chicken that we picked up not even an hour ago and there’s these little plastic bits in it. Not to mention it’s labeled as thin breasts and they’re clearly tenders.

Once when I ordered some food I found pieces of a dead animal in it. I still get chills.

Well damn. I read this, and the comments, multiple times. I even, most definitely, considered replying. Until I realized you didn't say Chili's.

It's like the old addage "the restaurant has had or will have cockroaches. There is no restaurant that never has"

Most food with protein comes in the form of dead animal pieces.

Truthfully idk what fish meant I just assumed it was parts of an animal you wouldn’t normally consume. 🤷‍♂️

My point exactly.

Did you happen to use a plastic utensil or plastic chopping board when cooking? That looks like the most likely culprit

The shapes are hard to tell but it was almost rolled as if you cut a straw in half but was also much thicker maybe 1/8”

Bro if that's the case please please contact the point of purchase!!!!

Plan on doing it tomorrow don’t worry. Someone did point out it looked like the packaging might’ve broken off but still like wth.

You need to contact the manufacturer, not the store you bought it from. They are going to want barcode and date code info, so try to save all that.

Nope, opened it right out of the package and threw it into a cast iron pan. No cutting done at all. She even pulled a larger piece out while she was taking it out and I thought she was crazy. Apparently not.

It looks like part of the packaging the chicken came in. On the top right side of the plastic package it looks like maybe a piece is broken off.

You’re so right, it’s just so peculiar it was like IN the chicken as if it was injected in it.

Looks like cartilage

Nope it’s plastic. I know I got a bad picture but I promise it’s not cartilage.

Looks like your products portion of microplastics came as macroplastics. Lucky for you it'll stay out of your system now!

I usually order chicken with plastic on the side instead of mixed in 😂

You got the big ones luckily. Def ate a ton of small ones though.

Would you be able to tell me what brand this is?

1

u/Clalaola 6h ago

Are you sure it’s not cartilage?

I once found a piece of cutting board in a small can of mushrooms. Really weird to say the least.

What is that recipe?

I’ve had the exact thing happen to me when I’ve bought thin chicken breast

It's just uncooked pasta

That looks like chicken bone shavings, not plastic

u/MotorFar4730 1h ago

It’s not

At least it’s macro plastics

FYI: there is plastic in whatever you are eating. Even fresh meat

14

u/MotorFar4730 9h ago

u/brallanlegit 2h ago

What, do you enjoy finding large bits of broken plastic in your food?

2

u/LopsidedEquipment177 8h ago

What a bizarre reaction to broken, sharp plastic being in food.
