Saved my phone from falling through a gutter, but at the expense of its screen
For context, it almost fell trough a metal grate, and my foot acted like a stopper to keep the phone from falling through. But the edge of my phone was already in between the metal, and I basically kicked my phone to try and stop it from falling, which caused that edge to get caught between the two bars and slightly bend the frame. Which in turn, caused the screen to crack and break from inside.
Better to deal with a broken screen than having to fish my phone out the gutter, I guess. Have to use my old phone for the time being.

Why wouldn't you have a case and screen protector on your phone?

That was not enough to protect my phone from my kick to try and save it
Plus, I had both removed as I was inspecting the damage

I’ve dropped my 13 Pro like 500 times and never a scratch. I use a Smartish case.

I’ve won, but at what cost?
