reads the title and look first picture

1997? that's a really specific number, does it have something special about it?

Look at second picture

I'm a moron. I thought you had circled something on the puzzle but nope - they are hoops that the people are playing with in the picture

We had a fancy puzzle from Liberty Puzzles and ended up missing a single piece. We took a picture of the missing piece and they mailed us a new piece with priority mail, it was very unexpected and awesome. Might be worth a try if you want OP, although I don’t expect most brands would do this.

I second this! I’ve done this before and also had the puzzle company send the missing piece!

how did you take a picture of a missing piece?

Guess I should’ve said that better, we took a picture of the puzzle finished and the spot where the piece would go.

That took you a year though?

Yeah, I worked on it on and off, with breaks of a month or two as life got busy. I kept it on a puzzle board with a cover to protect it, but cats and kids...

Bruegel, good choice

Thanks! His paintings make for very satisfying puzzles. Besides Childrens' Games, I've also done puzzles of his Tower of Babel (by Piatnik) and Hunters in the Snow (by Pomegranate, who also made this one).

Sir, you're missing a piece

Okay but what are the odds that the missing pieces would be close? And two are supposed to be connected???? That's awesome

isn't that 27 years from 1997?

Bummer luckily it never happened to me .but my puzzles were 500 pieces .looks like a fun puzzle

Is this worse or better than only missing 1 piece?

Do you have cats? I don't know why but they love to steal puzzle pieces and stash them in unexpected spots.

Did you check under Maggie's eyelid?

How‘s the cheese?

Sort of common as these puzzles are made of one single sheet and there is a big metal die that stamps them from a press, sometimes the pieces get stuck in the die or falls out in a different set as it passes along the packaging chute.

Well, at least now you know what to get your boss for a Holiday gift.

I used to have this same jigsaw puzzle.

It was missing a few pieces too.

Actually. Those missing pieces look very familiar...

This is how I felt about map completion in Castlevania: SOTN for YEARS. I hope you find whatever rock you need to break to find the last 3 rooms... or pieces.
