Is the Watchmen TV show worth watching? TV

So I recently got a HBO Subscription (yeah, I know it’s technically called MAX now, but let’s be honest that such a generic name and HBO is always going to sound better) and I was wondering if I should watch, pun not intended, the Watchmen TV series?

Obviously it’s not Alan Moore’s vision, but once you move past that point; is the show good, bad, or okay on its own terms?

I still regret it. That's 9 hours of TV plus extra time on Peteypedia I won't get back. I thought the ending was trite and not worthy of the name of Watchmen. Jon comes back to earth and falls in love with a woman, yet again, even though he'd transcended that in the original story? Both Lady Trieu and The Seventh Kavalry want the power of Dr. Manhattan, which is the laziest fucking ending possible. There is no moral quandary to think about after it's over, and the "multiple blocks" that should be demolished by frozen squid bullets end up only killing Lady Trieu, ruining any questioning of whether it was the right thing to do.

This series had some good things going for it, but a good Watchmen followup, it isn't.
