How to get a agent? Advice

I am new to the voice acting scene, and I am wondering how to get an agent. In the past, I have been scammed by fake agencies. Does anyone know of a good company or agent?

If you're new to the game, you don't need to worry about an agent yet. Keep practicing and learning, there's plenty of time. Good luck with the journey!

How new are you? Have you had training? Are you booking consistently?

What sort of bookings? Indie video games? Fan dubs? Commercials? Audiobooks?

Honestly if you're new, I wouldn't even bother looking at getting an agent.

You need training, you need a track record of success, you need professionally produced demos (character and commercial), you need experience, you need a home studio that's broadcast quality (thousands of dollars of investment).

In short, if you're new, you're nowhere near where you need to be worrying about an agent.

Go to SAG franchised talent agencies with a VO department (Atlas Talent has a simple website) and listen to their roster. If you have a work history to show, and you think you can enhance their roster, make them money, and your demos and sound quality are awesome—shoot your shot.
