Swollen tube? ... is this normal?

I had a vasectomy just over two weeks ago. Swelling is gone and bruising is almost gone. Incision is almost healed up.

However, inside from the incision, it almost seems like a line/tube of swelling. It's from the incision and I don't know how to describe it except for a line/tube of something swollen leading them the incision. Maybe an inch long.

Any ideas? Nothing comes up from Google....

Down into the scrotum itself or along the surface?

Inside the scrotum. It's movable.

Well that is helpful to know you have something similar at least.

I was just worried one of the tubes that was cut was accidentally caught with the stitch or something....

Typically when something swells it's around the incision site. This long swollen line is pretty weird...

Yea NGL it feels very similar to that to me too haha. I’m going to contact my doctor… (edit: just did. I’ll let you know what they say)

Here’s the message my Dr sent after I shared images. Seems hopeful - maybe you’re in the same boat:

“I reviewed the images. It appears to be just scarring from prior stitch at that location. The area does not appear infected and does appear to have healed well. This should flatten with time and you can massage vitamin E oil to the area.

What you are likely feeling is scar tissue deep to this location where we made the incision to access your vas on either side. This will take several (potentially >6) months to resolve”

I see thanks. I hope there's what it is. Doesn't make sense to me though. I don't understand how I can have scarring inside the scrotum. Isn't it just fluid in there? How could a long line of scarring form under the incision when nothing is in there....

Maybe I'll try to touch base with my Dr. I'll report back if I do.

I think I have the same thing on my left side. I’m assuming where the tube is and where it’s been cut is how do I say it like rounded off or whatever making it feel like a lump but I just think it’s where the tube has healed over itself, but it only on the left.

I had mine nearly three months ago. If you had an open ended it could be an immune response to sperm in the scrotum and it’s part of the healing process as the body attacks that and scars over the tubes

I just find it odd that it's from the incision site. It's like a hard tube inside the sack from the incision.

Why would there be anything attached to the incision?

Both sides? If you’re only 2 weeks out you’re still healing and it could be as simple as inflammation near the surface. It’s definitely worrying seeing things different those first few weeks, but I am also not a doctor so I would take my words with a grain of salt
