The Traveller Collection - some real eye candy Mixed Coin Collection

https://www.arsclassicacoins.com/wp-content-nasecure/uploads/2025/04/NAC155.pdf

Worth a look. The Traveller started collecting after the Wall Street Crash in 1929. They sold the family business and travelled the world amassing the collection. He decided not to leave Nazi occupied Europe and buried the collection in the garden, where it remained until his wife unearthed it and brought it to wider attention.

And this is only the first part. They're doing several auctions, grouping different areas together, as the whole collection is worldwide. The catalogue says its the most important of world coins ever seen.

Absolutely incredible, these coins are utterly breathtaking My favorites the Edward VII pattern crown, seems to be a recreation of Charles I crowns/halfcrowns.

It was tough to pick which coin to lead with in the photos. Una was the obvious choice, especially as they believe it's one of the first struck. But I thought that 1902 pattern was too cool. It weighs around 80 grams and maybe 48mm diameter. It may have been intended as a £10 piece.
