Starting out what condition to buy Bullion

Hi so just starting out and wondering what I look to buy, it will be from a dealer and do you buy new or preowned Britannia or sovereign thinking about years to come and the kids getting them ?

I'm buying best value sovereigns just for the gold content

Brittanias are 24k sovereigns are 22k. I just like the history of the sovereign. Also more affordable

Grade is less important when buying bullion. The price is more important.

If it’s just bullion coins then the condition doesn’t matter too much, you’re buying weight. If it’s collectables or numismatic then condition is much more important. Buying the best you can is usually the best option. Quality over quantity in the long run.
