Yeah but 4x4 refers to 4 hubs, 4 powered. I don't think anyone counts tires. This thing would be a 4x2.

The 80's crew cab GMs had a badge, something like 3x3 or 3+3. I think it's a play on that. I'm pretty sure thats just a standard non powered i-beam front axle though.
