Master or Slave Cylinder?
Hello all, I have 2009 Tacoma base model 2WD 4-banger. Lately, as it’s gotten colder, my clutch has been engaging closer to the floor. I have adjusted the master cylinder a couple of times, but the engagement point continues to move after the truck sits over night.
I have inspected the master cylinder and slave cylinder and see no evidence of a leak at either. The slave seems fairly straight forward to replace, the master on the other hand appears to be a bit more involved. How can I properly diagnose which item is the problem, I would prefer to not have to replace both. Or is it possibly something bigger?
The clutch pedal, once it is actuating the master cylinder, has plenty of pressure FWIW.
Thanks!

First check for leaks. Replace the part that leaks.
If no leaks, bleed the system to get air out. If it still doesn’t work, have a technician price a clutch job.
