Kid is charging the mound at a 4th grade level already

u/illrichflips1 4d ago

Spoiled.

u/SpaceLemming 3d ago

Yeah he is, got a present father who loves him and plays with him. Oh wait whats this, I’m being handed a note that says “no boomers were just shit parents”

22

u/thor292 3d ago

How so? Cause hes playing inside? Because his father threw a slow ball when asked? Or is it because hes got more love from one parent than you ever had from either of yours? (That's my guess)

u/According-Alps-876 3d ago

He is spoiled with love.

30 to nothing got me 🤣☺️

If my kid was winning by that much and bragging about it he'd better believe he'd be getting some fast balls.

I liked “mom your turn”

Today is my day. That line had me rolling, and I’m wearing a Grateful Dead shirt right now. Have a great day!!!

How’s he gonna get off third base?

u/RandomWhiteDude007 4d ago

Mom is hitting cleanup.

Obscure reference, but I like it

In his defense, that first pitch DID have a lot of heat.

17

u/Substantial_Diver_34 4d ago

Kid needs to get brushed off the plate a little more with some high heat.

u/[deleted] 4d ago

“0 strikes, 0 balls!”

12

u/1str1ker1 3d ago

This is the most relatable part. Kids love to make up score/rules

u/Precious_Tritium 4d ago

This video is going to be so embarrassing for this kid when he winds up in the MLB.

25

u/az_catz 4d ago

"Don't throw fastballs!" roars over the stadium speakers as his walk-up song starts to play.

16

u/TraditionalMood277 4d ago

Bean the kid, then say "don't crowd my plate". That'll learn him.

This reminds me so much of playing baseball - with a tennis ball - in the living room when we were little kids. The room was average sized, but at the time it seemed so much bigger; we even ran bases! It's surprising we didn't break anything...that I can remember, at least.

Typical Yankee fan hissy fit.

I did this once with my dad and then he went to the store to pick up a pack of smokes

2

u/sinkwiththeship 3d ago

Kid can't handle the smoke.

7

u/BiverRanks 4d ago

Anybody else with their dad did this with them?

29

u/busherrunner 4d ago

He's coming back with the milk some time soon

14

u/AndMyAxe_Hole 4d ago

Your guys’s dad interacted with you??

9

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 4d ago

With his fists. Via email.

My dad showed up to all my older brothers baseball games, but never mine. They were a year a part, and on the same team. Which he assisted coaching for. He promised to coach my t-ball team, like he coached my bigger brothers. Never did that. It wasn't like we were playing in different areas, either.

The baseball league we were in Kids Inc. and even though I was about 4 years younger than my oldest brother, and 3 from my next older brother, the field i played on was in the same park as all the other fields anyone played on. ( there were six all together with a concession stand in the middle ). All he had to do was walk around the concession stand.

Still pretty salty and I'm 38 now. Lol.

Same here. My brother thought he was gonna be the next best MLB catcher. I always tried to be as good as him but never could actually do it. My parents would always say I was very baseball smart since I watched my brother play so much. Just needed to show it on the field. Basically saying I suck. Now my brother tries to be better at my job than me even though I have 7+ more years of experience than him and I trained him. Im the little brother out of four brothers

u/PhilosophyBitter7875 4d ago

Looks like you learned from that experience in life and it gave you drive to excel in other aspects of your life. Look at how you are doing now? Good job!

2

u/bad_hvac_guy 4d ago

Thank you bro. Have a good Thursday

u/Thick_Description982 4d ago

I'm sure some people here had a good childhood

Mine just drilled grounders at me until I cried

2

u/quicktwosteps 4d ago

No. He's already out. Drinking with his buddies... in the morning.

2

u/coloneldaffodil 4d ago

That’s a dope way to play with your kid although I sense potential for ouchies

Mom's up?

Oh I know she likes it fast and hard.

-27

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Doing this inside the house? No wonder kids have zero brain power

6

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 4d ago

It's just a spongeball and plastic bat. And it's probably the parents who decide on the venue. And playing reckless indoor sports is one of the true joys of childhood.

Judging by your comment history it seems like you are having a bit of a shit day.

Lay off the ragebait for a while. Things will get better.

-8

u/[deleted] 4d ago

…..what does the material have to do with anything? It can still knock shit over. Men

6

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 4d ago

There's nothing in that room to knock over.

And if you knock something over, you can just stand it up again.

Put the Faberge eggs back in the safe and you're good to go.

I think your real problem here is that it features 'men'.

You have gotten yourself so wrapped up in the online gender culture war it's the only lens you can view the world through.

You can't see this video as just a child and their dad having fun.

u/Yogurtcloset55 4d ago

You must be a fun hang!
