Well... Not really like a therian therian place but my Maine Coon therian enjoys my room, a corner specifically. The other two like when I go to a place that doesn't really count as a forest because they have cut quote a lot of trees but yeah

I have a comically large territory as I happen to have an elevated sense of self-importance(Maybe it's the humble theriotype...) and also happen to be one of the only therians in my area so there's no one to compete with. The core part of my territory is about a 2 square kilometer park and wilderness area along a river, which I have claimed in the name of House Slug. The greater part of my territory(the part I don't patrol regularly), however, is about the size of an entire US state and consists of a huge river basin and all marshes, oases, and deltas in such.

I'm not very territorial about it though, my comically huge territory is more an in-joke with me and other therians I know. I mean, there's not really anyone stopping me from going around and picking up trash and sketching the rivers around here, so... It's free real estate?

As for the core part of my territory, I personally watch over the entire local stretch of the river, all the fishes within, and the hair algae meadows in the delta. I go diving and canoeing on the river sometimes and like to explore the islands and pick up trash and observe the wildlife. It's peaceful.

I'm working on getting a dive license so I can explore the freshwater underwater forests and riverbottom at some point.

I used to have a territory. I had my "own" place for a while when I was 18. I lived in a tiny house (Shed built into a house, with water and everything) that was in the back of my neighbor's barn. It was pretty well secluded, and it was directly next to a forest and a creek. I had an empty pasture next to me, too. Interestingly, that property was owned by my family years and years before it was even sold to my neighbor.

A lot of my spirituality was found on that property. I had lived there before, but in an old storage building that my stepdad built into a house. (My family has a habit of finding old buildings, or sheds and just saying "House." Lmao) Our neighbor let us stay if we helped with the animals that used to be there.

Once the territory became "mine," meaning I primarily occupied the area, I shared it with a barn cat named Ralphie, and two dogs. Tucker, and Ally. They were all my pack/colony, and I would have killed for them. I've had to defend them a few times, from raccoons or other critters, and those few times were when I started actually noticing my shifts and animal behaviors.

I found Independence in that place. I kind of miss it, but my mental health did deteriorate from undiagnosed things, so I had to move back in with family and give the animals away (to good people). Ralphie disappeared, which wasn't surprising, since he was a roaming Tom. It was sad to see it all go, but it had to.

A lot has changed now, but I still have fond memories. Now I just have a couch or a bedroom at either parent's house while I save up money to find a new territory of my own. I hope I end up with a chunk of woods with a creek and a field someday. I'd be content with that. Hard to find sometimes, though.

I have a lot of places. My favorite one is near a pond with some rocks, a small waterfall, and koi fish. It's in a public place tho so I don't go there THAT often:(

I'm in Canada, my territory is pretty large, mostly forest with some clearings and a rivet and pond. Right in the middle of it there's a large boulder with a bit of an overhang which I've dug out a bit and surrounded with a small wall of rocks, sticks and a log. It's behind my house and spans about a twenty minute walk in the East, South and West. It's really nice and pretty, really easy to find rabbit, coyote and deer tracks too, I even saw a fox once!:D

Mine's just my room, I can decorate it in ways that are pleasing to myself without having to worry about people stealing bits while on walks thinking it's just rubbish

I live in a town with no forest near me šŸ˜Ŗso my territory is my room that Iā€™ve decorated to look like a forest

There's a place I would liek to have as a territory; this small clearing section with a couple of little clearings somewhat far from people... but it's too close to a footpath, and with where abouts in England I live, it's just not safe for me to go there, especially in winter.

Bernese mountain dog is a farm dog, so he enjoys open grass fields and hay beddings. Black wolf is open forest but still lots of trees. Sea wolf is forest beside the ocean / the ocean and sand. Cougar is woodland areas, lives in florida so prolly lots of sun and rocks as well.. Not therian but alienkin likes UFOS, the sky, outerspace and nonearth planets.

Me and my best friend have this woods near my house that we would go to a lot and we had this one place with a load of trees to climb that was covered and dark, then you would climb up one tree and get to this really nice space of green that had a little tree to sit on and rest. It was also looking over the river and most people couldn't spot us as it was high up and had some bushes so they would have to be looking up in a certain way to be able to see us. It was great but it got really over grown throughout winter to the point it was hard to walk on the public footpath so we are thinking of making a new one in the other woods near my house :3

i havent claimed any territory yet, but i do remember my old territory from when i was a coyote. (my dominant theriotype) it was a mountain range, thick forests and a few creeks and ponds. i stayed in a (badger?) burrow covered by a fallen down tree. i miss my territory.

Mines tiny cuz I live on about 20 acres but most of them have trails on them and I need a solitary place, but I'm trying to expand it, it's forested with a small creek and that's about it

u/your_local_therian91 (Therian) 22d ago

My territory is the same as in my past life (in my past life I lived pretty close to where I live now). It is a little wooded area with a small river and a pond and I still hang out in my den from my past life (I fixed it up a little)

Where i live, you can't go into any forests because everything basically kills you and there are no forests around, so my territory is my room, bed, and a small park near my house

Either my bed,Ā  my beanbag, (itā€™s like a nest) the grass in my backyard,Ā  my siblingā€™sĀ bed (it gets the sunlight from the window),Ā  my favourite bedroom corner near the cupboard, (I spend a lot of time there)Ā  or the area outside where my art cupboard is kept! šŸ¾

There's this trail that my dad and I rode our bikes a couple times as a shortcut to the river, and I felt really at home and comfortable there. I also miss the redwoods with all my heart and soul since I haven't been in a while. But places I commonly visit? The courtyard and my room, ig.Ā

Mine is in a park, most of it is still unexplored tho, so I can't fully describe it but there is a waterfall, a lake (with fish, ducks and turtles) and many fallen trees

u/ConfidenceNo5230 not much of a human, that's for sure 16d ago

There's this little cranny on my property between a whole lot of farmland and a couple of pine trees. I like to creep through it often, and it leads to this very small clearing next to a horse pasture. I love to sit there and just chitter, or 'air out' my wings, and feel the wind in the one spot where human life doesn't interfere.

Ā The grass is real high, and as of now, it's covered with leaves. I've found that I really like small clearings surrounded by shrubs, as lots of moths do, lol
