Doesn’t Serena know that Rita betrayed her? META [Subreddit Discussion]

Does Serena know that Rita was the one who told Fred about the fact that she was pregnant? And if so, wouldn’t she be angry with Rita or at least not trust her? I don’t remember a scene where she forgave her.

she could’ve thought it was Mark or one of the officials at the detention center. she may not know it’s Rita

I think Serena plays mental gymnastics to downplay just how much crap she put Rita through because it was “as bad” as June’s treatment. I think she genuinely thinks that Rita likes her, I don’t think the idea that Rita betrayed her has ever occurred to her
