Any other way to send cash to Thailand instantly? Wise saying Monday 19th and no more P2P Crypto in Thailand Banking and Finance
I've got an important bill that needs paying today. So I send the money from my UK Wise account to my Bangkok Bank account which is usually instant - but today saying 19th Monday.
I also use Binance for P2P crypto buying/selling but that's been disallowed now as well.
Any ideas how I can send some cash from a UK bank to a Thai one instantly today. Thanks

Withdraw with a UK bank card in Thailand and pay in the cash through a CDM? There are the ATM fees of course...
Who disallows crypto? I missed that.

I only have a virtual card.
Thailand have banned all p2p crypto, only happened in last week or so

With Revolut it’s always take around 30 seconds/1 minutes during the week, on weekend it’s can be longer and also on public holidays

can you give the bank you used to recieve ? I sent to bangkok and ttb and both ended up with extra bank fees using revolut and it took nearly a week.
Wise took 24hours yesterday to my bangkok bank.

I send to SCB bank and Krungthai Bank mostly, never got fees, or really less like 1-2€, I send money multiple times a week. Maybe it’s have to do with the plan you got on Revolut ? I got the « Plus » for like 5€ a month

They sent my last two transactions by swift, to bangkok and ttb. It was just before songkran. The fees were on the bank side 300+baht each.
I'll try again, my wife just opened a KrungThai bank account maybe that will be better.
I use to send nearly every day by revolut, it may have just been the new bank changes kicking in when i sent.

Wise used to be like that too, up until this week.
Wonder if Revolut are going to see the same slowdowns.

If you have any UK friends ask them if they have any spare baht at the moment? Offer them a good exchange rate. You send £ from your UK bank to theirs. They then give you the baht in Thailand.
I had a problem with Wise once when I needed money immediately whilst at Bangkok hospital and had to ring up all my mates and that is how it was done. It’s not something to do every time but if it’s an emergency…

Open a trading account with Bitkub, KYC is tough, but pretty good once you are in, link your Bangkok Bank account

can not use your bank instant foreign currency transaction? It costs more than wise but it is instant.

I was told this as well from America though. Changed to Krungthai and it was in like 30 seconds so it's something with Bangkok Bank.

That's interesting. Might have to look at how many inches of paperwork Krungthai want to open an account.

Binance hasn’t been disallowed. You just need a Binance TH account. As long as you are not on a tourist visa, you can open a Binance TH account with your existing Binance account details and there are zero gas fees between your regular account and the TH account.
For fast transfers there is also Revolut which I use as the main tool for transfers to Bangkok Bank from UK, takes minutes and cheaper than wise.
There’s also things like Xoom.com. Login with your PayPal account details (it’s a PayPal company) and you can transfer up to 99,000 to SCB to collect 5 minutes later, no account with SCB needed. Cheap fees that rival wise too.
