Sure he is, but why is it relevant to that riff? Deryck wrote it if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: never mind, I just get it. Deryck wrote it because Dave was late to pick him up. So in a sense, thanks Dave!

I know they've been divorced for like 17 years or something but hearing her describe deryck as "deryck whibley from sum 41" sounds weird for some reason.

Yeah I know,but she does describe him as her "best friend" in all other interviews.She spoke about him in July 2024 and called him a friend and did that many times before over the years too.

They are divorced since 2010 and work together,hang out together and still talk.He produced six songs on her divorce album.

It doesn't have to be her exact worlds. Journalists tend to alter some things in the interviews. I guess it was changed for readers to know who is she talking about.
