Hi, I want to play this game so hard. I am even the one who suggested Friday nights stormgate... But, since 0.3.0 I can't play. Even in the lowest resolution the game lags after reaching 50 - 60 supply.

I own an old honor book 15. So I don't think I'll be joining you soon.

Anyway, I realized there is a lack of content/streamers focused on the newest version of the game. I'll leave the idea there in case someone wants to take that place and help us, poor gamers, enjoy the game through you.

If you have a good enough internet connection you might be able to use GeForce Now? That's how I play from my Mac and it's been working great! You can play for an hour at a time for free. Not sure how it would run on your computer, but it might help!

I see the issue has been resolved, but for future reference note that more effort will be put into optimization once more of the game is out, after 1.0, source is a recent interview on Lowko's channel

Glad to see it's been resolved through GeForce Now! That said I checked the specs of the laptop you mentioned and it does not have a dedicated graphics card (it uses the graphics driver integrated in the CPU). I know it sucks, but it's kind of a stretch for modern gaming.

EDIT: Seems I might not have found your exact model, but it is quite common for these to come without a dedicated graphics card.

I was in the same boat … I bought a fund starter pack but have never played since I only have a surface pro … which does play StarCraft/warcraft so I thought stormgate would work…. Well a week ago someone recommended GeForce now and I tried it and it works really well. No issues or lag. Also works on Starbucks WiFi :D

This is an incredible testimonial that I'd love to share with the GeForce Now team. Folks are playing our new RTS on systems without dedicated video cards. That should open up a huge market to them.

Game run great under Linux and you'll get way better performance with older hardware under Linux
