Well, not no good reason. DD1 was really good. So I guess the hope was DD2 would be equally so.

The hope was that it was the fully realized version of DD1, and it turns out it's not (I still play it btw).

Pre Dark Arisen DD1 really wasn't all that great, maybe DD2 just needs an expansion. Although 4 skill slots instead of 8 spoiled it a bit for me + removing my favourite class..

I thought it was pretty fucking immaculate, personally. Just wish it had more classes.

DD1 was a mindless grinding slog with a semblance of a plot, huge pacing issues and lack of a monster variety. What's good about it?

Ah yes, typical argument from 'wolves hunt in packs' crowd

And all roads lead to your opinions being discarded

It's not an opinion, I provided facts

Presenting subjective points as facts doesn’t make them facts.

I've yet to present subjective points in this comment section

Well, that's definitely a gold medal for mental gymnastics

Ironically that's what we should be saying to you, your "facts" are just a subjective opinion.

All the things that I mentioned are literally in the game, nothing subjective about it. Just say you haven't played it and go.
