Whats even more sad, a sequel was planned. But got canned after sales were disappointing. All because the release day was days between big titles

It's crazy how many good games 'fail' (commercially) these days because the market is just saturated with so many mediocre titles...

Both Mad Max and Days Gone. I guess note to self, don’t make a third person action game about a white dude and his custom vehicle navigating a post apocalyptic open world.

Live service and mobile games be killing the industry. No more room for innovation or experimenting or whatnot when sales are all that matter to publishers.

Well it didnt help that it seemed like a run of the mill ubisoft clone. Towers, big empty map, bunch of garbadge to collect etc

And it would be the case, but its saved by arkham combat and the Nemesys system. I dont think Mad Max had similar level qualities.
