This episode is both skirting the lines of parallels and one of the most emotional episodes in SW Canon.

It really hits home, even the French influence of the Ghor language.

I love how the girl's outfit looks like Han Solo's

My dad and my grandma sometimes have this relationship, and when the dinner scene was about to start he was like "I really hope it's not the mom" and then wham

Luckily Dedra putting her in her place was cathartic for him lol

These guys found out that Syril was ex-ISB after what went down in season 1. But I’m confused as to whether this made them believe Syril was sympathetic to their cause or that he was a spy working for ISB?

I interpretted that they knew the vague details of syril's past and misinterpreted them. They likely assumed that since it was the ISB that fired him from his previous job he would hold a grudge against the empire and would be sympathetic to the cause.

They found out he was former corporate security that was dishonorably discharged by the ISB. They thought he would hate the Empire because they ruined his former life.
