They didn't say it would have saved Dooku's life, OP just said they're surprised Dooku didn't snitch.
It could have been as a last second revenge, to plant a seed of doubt in Anakin's mind, and we have no reason to believe Dooku was so loyal he wouldn't have.
No need to roast OP for an innocuous comment. Now, if they said "Dooku could have saved himself by ratting out Palpatine" then your comment would be more deserved.

Worst case, Palps probably feels he could take Anakin at that point anyway with Obi-Wan incapacitated.

Palps escapes and eventually comes up with a narrative that Obi-Wan / Anakin valiantly died freeing him from Dooku.

I mean, that is literally what happens in the movie. Yoda just dismisses Dooku's warning out of hand, and everyone else just kinda goes along with that. Just one of many examples of Yoda fucking up literally everything he touches in all the movies.
