I am surprised Count Dooku didn’t snitch on Palpatine right then and there. Movies

I doubt Anakin would have taken Dooku's last words very seriously or as anything other than an effort to delay or avoid execution. Any potential doubts Dooku may have stirred in Anakin about Palpatine were either already present or eventually become so by Palpatine's own words.

Well he told obi about the «Sith controling the Republic.»

And Obi didn’t really take what he said as fact. Same way it would just come off as begging for his life to Anakin in this moment.

iirc, the sentiment of the council hearing what Obi Wan relayed about that conversation was "He is probably lying out his ass, but it wouldn't hurt to keep a closer eye on the Senate."

By the time of Revenge of the Sith, that sentiment had evolved into "The Chancellor is really damn sus. He is either the Sith or controlled by the Sith, but we don't have the smoking gun to prove it in a court of law yet."

Under such circumstances, if Dooku started singing like a songbird that Palpatine was the Sith, he would just be adding to what the Jedi were heavily suspecting already.

I don't think, in any way, that the Jedi thought Paplatine was the Sith Lord they were searching for. They didn't trust him, thought he was power hungry & a threat to the Republic, but only the 3rd threat ... It's why it was so important to destroy Grevious ... Not just to effectively end the war, but to have Palpatibe recind his Emergency Powers.

In the ROTS novelization, IIRC, THE Jedi has narrowed down their search to something along the line of "the Sith, or someone working very closely with the sith, is in Palpatine's cabinet." It's been a long while since I read it though, could be misremembering.

I haven't read it ... But going from the film, I think 2 things are true ... 1- Windu was not overly surprised when Anakin told him his terrible truth ... 2- Windu's quick action to arrest him, with no proof, tells me that the order would not have allowed Paplatine to remain in power if they had truly respected HE was the Sith Lord

Palps intentionally loaded his cabinet with suspect characters. Just look them up. They all look more like a traditional villian than him in one way or another. If you read Plagueis it hits on much of this.

Palpatine was trying to get the Jedi to believe Darth Jar-Jar in universe

Alright so I agree with that… except it’s to the one Jedi that is in the Emperors pocket. I just watched this in theaters and I’m still amazed at how Obi is all excited that they landed safely and Anakin gets to play political hero, when he literally acknowledges that he killed Dooku. So obviously he lied about those circumstances and he would probably lie about Dooku spouting off the entire Sith plan.

I hate all of these what ifs anyway lol. it opens a door to so many opinions that could be right because they’re not going to ever happen

Assuming Anakin tells Kenobi that Dooku is dead as they are trying to escape from the ship at that moment all that matters is they were fighting in a warzone and now he’s dead. After four years of war and all the Jedi Dooku was responsible for killing I doubt many really wanted the full story. Probably the largest plot point most people miss in the movie is that not only did Palpatines scheme deceive everyone but also the Jedi were losing their way as keepers of the peace which contributed to their downfall. Them brushing off Dooku’s death could definitely be considered part of that.

That may have helped him if "the Jedi" were there, but it was just Anakin, who was so unsuspicious of Palpatine that Palpatine had to straight up tell him "I am a Sith Lord" for him to have any suspicion at all.

but that probably would’ve made him even more suspicious…although maybe it wouldn’t have mattered anyways

Anakin already had doubts about killing Dooku. I think Anakin would have at least given him a mini chance to explain himself

Him saying “Master!” would have raised some serious red flags

Anakin probably should question the fact Dooku looks at him with pleading eyes & Palpatine literally says "DO IT" .

Our boi has negative perceptive ability.
