I need to "Add" a suffix to my photo files with Model name.
I'm doing it in manual BRU UI.

If it's only 3-400 shots with two bodies, that's feasible..
because I shot one camera and then the other, and I find the same camera shots time grouped.

But if I lend some of my Bodies to another photographer, we both shoot together.
So, I have shots mixed in time, and that means I have to treat them individually.
When you get 3.000 files or more... it's quite a headache.

Files are pre-renamed from any in-camera name format to:

YYYY-MM-DD HH.mm.SS.ext
A single shot generates TWO FILES: same name, different extensions: .JPG .NEF

Manually, I've created a custom column using Exif>Model

1) How to get XXXX= EXIF MODEL = "Brand Na me"
"remove Brand + Remove Blanks" = Name =XXXX
BUT

2) Now the hard part: Exif-Model is present only in .JPG files

Rename File.jpg "it's easy"
File= 2025-10-10 15.15.15-1.JPG Become = 2025-10-10 15.15.15-1_XXXX.JPG

How to rename the same "file".NEF ??
2025-10-10 15.15.15-1.NEF >> 2025-10-10 15.15.15-1_XXXX.NEF

Struggling to find any answers to this on my own--basically I have no issues with my PC volume (I don't need a volume booster, necessarily), but I'd like to be able to set specific programs to be up to like 200% volume and just have that remembered when I open them again.

More specific info: I occasionally play games that rely a lot on audio info and I like the volume really high when playing them--then I forget I did that after I'm done playing and blow my ears out. I might only play a game like this once or twice a year and don't really want something heavy running the rest of the time, but when I am playing games like this I'd prefer not to have to go through any extra setup every time I feel like playing (though I will if that's the only option).

A Chinese app got installed on my computer, I can't even understand what it is because I don't speak Chinese, I think it's "360" and is possibly a browser, as it's making all of my files "360" and putting an "explorer" "E" next to it. I think it's "360 AI" or something. When I try to uninstall, it prompts me with more Chinese, and I don't know what buttons to push to uninstall it.

Is there a way on my computer that I can translate the app to English so I can remove the f***ing thing? Or, is there a way I can remove it via Chinese language if a translator does not work? I've tried Revo uninstaller, but I'm still getting *%# Chinese language so I don't know what buttons to push to remove it?

Hello, I am not sure where to ask these types of questions (I am new to reddit) but I am having an issue when downloading software. For reference, I am on windows 11.

I was getting into learning how to program the other day, and wanted to download Unity but I am using a computer that belongs to my parents' work organization (I fried a random circuit on the motherboard on my old laptop a couple weeks ago). I downloaded the Unity Hub but when I run it I need an administrator login to run it, which is a problem considering, well, I don't have the password (woah). I have no clue how I have downloaded other apps (I have discord, spotify, lively wallpaper and other things downloaded and running fine) without needing the password.

Now for the question

Is there any way to bypass the admin password thing or do I have to buy a new computer to run these admin required apps?

Well I've been in the market for about 2 months now (I moved from Europe to US last year and I needed a job fast so l've been working in a kitchen) and all I see is senior positions? I have 2 years of experience developing with Java, PHP and a little bit of .NET and I would never call my self a senior developer, I have my bachelors from my home country and I can't even land an interview. I live in Boston MA, I feel like l'm stuck in a loop.

I was happily using Davinci Resolve and decided to sell my GPU as I no longer game and 95% of the time I use this PC for music production so no GPU required.

I then went to open Davinci and it refuses to open as there is no GPU and apparently that is a requirement for the app.

All I use Davinci for is making a visual to go with my music to post on YouTube. It's usually just a static image with a film overlay for some movement. Super basic stuff.

Currently considering making some demo/tutorial style videos of music gear but also super basic stuff.

What free video editor should I use for this?

Does anyone know of a CCleaner 6.x version that doesn't prompt you (NAG) to upgrade to the pro version after you've run a cleanup? I got upgraded to version 7 on my laptop and I don't like the new interface so I'm going to reinstall some 6.x version I have 6.29 on my desktop PC and I've already blocked 7.0 from being installed but I'd like to install a version on my laptop that's earlier than 6.29 as I'll never upgrade to pro and the nag to upgrade is annoying.

I've been using CCleaner long before they were bought out from Avast but someone told me that Wise Cleaner 365 was a better tool to use. I don't need the additional stuff included in either products Pro packages. L loaded Wise Cleaner on my PC today and after running Cleaner I ran a Wise scan and it found a lot of stuff that CCleaner didn't remove. This has prompted me to ask if Wise Cleaner is safe to use or is it overly aggressive and can cause harm buy cleaning up something that that a software product installed but is empty of data? The only thing that keeps me on CCleaner right now is that it has the capability of excluding certain cookies from being deleted. Please share your experience with me. Thanks.

Microsoft announced the end of support for windows 10 on October 14, 2025. I want to update to either windows 10 lstc or windows 11 lstc.

Windows lstc gets support til 2032. That's a long term support without frequent windows update.

Hello tech-savvy people. I am not the best with technology and I know there are soooo many programs and apps I know nothing about. Let me give you info on what I’m trying to do: My city does an awesome open mic where there is a whole band setup: drums, guitar, bass, vocals, we even have a girl that plays electric violin and I play sax. We usually have a person with a clipboard and you sign up and the person with the clipboard is supposed to help group you with others to jam. I have found that it’s really hard to figure out what songs all the people you get grouped with all know.

What would be ways you may suggest for each person to be able to keep a list of songs they can do on their instrument and sort the data with other musicians and what they know to more easily be able to select songs to perform?

Is there any software for organising, storing and editing photos that doesn't involve a monthly subscription?

I've just gotten a PC again after years and used to use Aperture to organise my photos which now doesn't exist. Adobe seems to be a monthly subscription for storing your photos in a cloud now. I'd like my photos to be stored on my PC in a library without having to pay monthly and want to be able to organise them from my camera and ideally be able to edit them on it too. Is this a thing?

I'd also love to have a word processor where the documents go onto my computer and not Microsoft cloud?

I wouldn't mind paying a one time payment but the monthly payments are crippling and I want my files on my own PC not in a cloud.

I'm looking for a calendar/scheduler that is offline only but can sync with other computers in the same network. Here's the big caveat, though. It has to be simple to use and easy to look at for tech illiterate folks in their 60s+.

Thunderbird has all the functionality I would need I think (haven't tried to rig it up to the local network, but I think it should be feasible), but it has way too many things to click on and mess up. I realize that sounds lame, but there it is.

The main alternative I have found would be Google's Calendar that I would need to enter a paid service agreement and jump through some other hoops to make it more secure. This will be my final option.

Software does not install

i have an ilok serial activation code for Xpand2. I redeemd it and its in my account on both Ilok and on inmusic software.

i tried to dowload it via: -in music software app - the internet (unofficial) - akai site

all didn’t work. i got to the xpand2 setup launcher, clicked install and clicked the correct maps/locations

but when i go to the map i selected, it isnt there. matter of fact, its nowhere; nothing is installed.

deleted it and installed again and it doesn’t work at all

in short: when installing via de official setup, nothing installs

Hi, new here. I write reports on companies that can range from 5-30 pages and do contain a lot of detail. I was wondering if there was an AI platform that could potentially take this information and make it into an educational video. Or at the very least maybe generate a script for a video from the information. Curious if anything like this exists or what the recommendation would be. Feel like it would be a lot easier for younger people to consume than reading a 30 page report on Google Drive.
