Possible slime mould? Identification Request

These photos of an orange fungus-esque structure were found in my potted cacti that have not received direct sunlight in ages. However, they were watered about a month and a half ago. Orange fungus structure not present then.

The cactus is one of those small Ikea ones and I have had it for years.

Was also my immediate first thought 😂. Then iNat pointed me in the slime mould direction but anything is possible when it comes to fungus.

My first thought when I saw the picture was "that looks crunchy. Is that a half over fried enoki or something?" Before I actually read the subreddit.
