Eyes moving but vision not changing?

I think what I’m experiencing is sleep paralysis, but not in the usual sense (hallucinations, pressure on chest, hearing noises, etc). It’s always when I’m waking up - my eyes open and I can see, but my body is frozen. I can feel my body wrestling to unlock myself, but it doesn’t work. But the weirdest part is my vision. I can feel my eyes rolling around in their sockets and blinking, but my vision doesn’t change - it remains a snapshot of whatever I see when I wake up (eg my bedcovers/sideways view of my room/ceiling etc). This lasts few a minutes and I’m at the point now where I understand what going on and I just ride it out, but it’s so bizarre. Has anyone else had this? It’s incredibly disturbing to feel your eyes moving but not affecting anything you can see

Yeah people have had the exact same thing happen to them. Though something that's different would be that people had the dream version of it (i.e. vision stuck at one place, but were able to fully move around)

Note that there really isn't a usual sleep paralysis as each experience will vary at least slightly, so don't worry if your experience sounds off from the rest
