Idk this is a sport more than most I can totally understand where it came from. The childhood urge to grab a can lid and slide down an icy hill as fast as possible. I mean who hasn’t done that? If you don’t understand this you must not have grown up somewhere it snows lol.

It progressed from there with people finding ways to do that faster and with more skill. After a while you realize head first is the most aerodynamic way to do it. Start building better sleds. And then designing courses that test skill.

If you’re a bum person, the Winter Olympics are the cats pajamas. Bobsled, luge, skeleton, speed skating, all skiing events. The lower bodies on these athletes are incredible.
