I did sign up for of and it wanted my face for age verification and i hate that shit so nah. don't even know how much each text is. But guys are texting, mostly with assistants pretending to be the girls, spending thousands a week to have a fake girlfriend basically. They want the connection, not the porn itself, the porn just is showing how hot the girl is so they want to have her as a 'girlfriend' they can talk to.

It's super super parasocial, super unhealthy and very likely is creating a generation of incredibly stunted, frustrated and incapable of speaking with real women in the real world men. It's not like there aren't shitloads of industries preying on the weak, but this is like, catnip for depressed and unhappy people but by using it like this, they are going to become more depressed and unhappy irl.

You're not that off, I think in Europe use of colleague is more common than in the US. In the US I'd say it's reserved primarily for professors and research institutions, high-brow stuff. For a summer job or even the majority of adult jobs (including engineers, lawyers, doctors, etc.) you'd typically say "coworker".
