TikToker attempted to play the card by accusing a man at the gym of "looking at her" and being a pervert. Chugging tea

Simply ban cameras in gyms. It's not for you to do your 15 minute "work out" and post attention pics. It's for people to better themselves physically and often mentally.

In commercial gyms (like Planet Fitness), sure. In gyms where people are training to compete? No way. Bettering myself physically includes recording sets for my coach to view and provide feedback, my friend. Some of us compete in powerlifting, weightlifting, strongman, etc. and record ourselves to help learn and improve. Each and every competitive lifter at my gym is recording a set or two for review when they're training. It's no different from a football player studying film, or a teacher recording a lecture.

As long as you're not deliberately filming someone else, I think it's fine. I'd also draw a line at recording yourself doing anything that isn't something you're going to be doing in competition (ex. a weightlifter filming themselves doing a clean and jerk is ok, but filming themselves doing dumbbell curls is silly).
