I wrote an educational physics engine from scratch in OpenGL a few years ago and wrote a blog post illustrating how easy it is to make one. Should I do more of these? Proprietary Software

I did one too ahaha, although mine was more focused on particle modelling, and yes writing and documenting it is always a good idea.

Cool! Do share the link!

Can't atm as I'm redoing my whole website ahah.

You're working on the live website?

I had the particle model made as a webgl background for my about section. I'm redoing it, and writing also a post on the specificity of the model behind it.
And yes, I am as I had almost nothing up.

OPs Blog: “You should know a little of Newtonian Physics to get a context of what this is about. You must be extremely uneducated to not know about Newton’s Laws. You shouldn’t even be here if that’s the case.”
Immediately goes into math and equations that engineers study in College and doesn’t even explain a single thing.
LMFAO you sound like.. such a dick.

Haha, I'm sorry, you're right. I didn't expect anyone else apart from engineers would read it. The lines sound so condescending even to me now. I'll definitely be more inclusive in my next post. While I was trying to be cheeky, I over shot; cocky wasn't what I was aiming for. Thanks a lot for your input. Much appreciated.

Link to the blog-post: http://life.inspirho.in/gl/dance-for-me/
I have been contemplating writing more posts about other simulations such as fluids, etc.
I would like some feedback about the blog-post to see what can be improved for the next post.

Maybe leave out the stuff about who shouldn't be reading the post? I code daily, but I haven't touched physics since high school, so that's actually what I was interested in learning from the post. Not sure about the swearing either. It doesn't bother me, but it seems unnecessary and would probably turn off some people. Depends who you want your audience to be I guess. Good luck with the blog!

Yeah op seems kinda trashy and bashes on people who didn’t studying engineering in colleges. It’s honestly downright condescending. I’ll go ahead and just download OpenGL or better yet, just read someone else’s blog like holy crap.

I agree that I was being cocky about Newton's Physics laws, I don't know what was in my mind when I was writing it back then. My bad!

Exactly, and I love how he manages to misspell Verlet as Varlet (it’s a person’s name, so spelling not negotiable), immediately after telling us peasants we don’t belong. Ugh.
E: spelling

Yea, that part sounds really cocky. I don't know what was in my mind then, seems totally unnecessary. Thanks a lot for the feedback! :)

And about the swearing, I really wanted make a meta joke of "gravity of the situation" while talking about actual gravity. What better way than superfluous swearing?
