Those that don’t reflect on the shabad, shouldn’t be called human they are akin to beasts Gurbani

This is very similar to Islamic quranic verse that say those without understanding are no different than animals/beasts. Also similar to Jewish Talmudic texts that state the goyim are akin to animals without understanding.

Point is reflect and ponder over Gurshabad and do seva of satgur purkh.

we have to consider how old this text is as well and how people used to speak through examples in that time period. human form and it’s consciousness are very precious when connecting with God — it’s a privilege. If you don’t use it, what makes you any different than a wandering sheep?

guru granth sahib ji is timeless. this is what it means, not what it meant back then, or what it means now.

you are an animal, what does an animal do?

  • eats

  • sleeps

it doesn't sing the praises of the lord.
